    Light causes product damage totaling millions of dollars each year. Damage includes fading, yellowing, color change, strength loss, embrittlement, oxidation, gloss loss, cracking, hazing and chalking. Products and materials exposed to direct sunlight, or to sunlight filtered through window glass, are most at risk. Materials whose service life or shelf life exposed them to fluorescent, halogen, or other general lighting may also be susceptible to photo degradation.

    The BGD Xenon Tester Chamber uses full spectrum xenon arc lamps to reproduce the damaging wavelengths of light encountered in a multitude of environments. It can be used to both simulate and accelerate these service conditions for research & development and quality control applications.

    The BGD Xenon Tester Chamber is used for the selection of new materials, the improvement of existing materials or the evaluation of how changes in formulations affect product durability. And it can give excellent simulations of how materials will fare when exposed to light in a variety of environments.
